`67 Pontiac Firebird Pro Street
Nearly finished, no chrome, sort of made like the typical cars at the Summernats car festival here in Australia. I reckon the 80s style graphics look really good on it, blacked out front grille idea from a 1969 Firebird pro street I saw one time. Next is the final details of the body and interior then I need to workhard on getting the engine in with custom mounts etc etc. Still trying to decide a manifold arrangement.

Re: `67 Pontiac Firebird Pro Street
Thanks! It will have a 427 with 4 spd manual, and i am deciding between a new manifold with 4bbl dominator carb which will fit easy under the cowl induction, or if i can find a few more millimetres under there a supercharger with twin 650cfm carbs.
I'll get pictures within the next few days |

Cool graphics dood, I like. A tunnel ram with twin dominator carbs would look cool, but the supercharger is an awesome idea. just depends on how serious it has to look or what class it's meant to be in.

Pro Street will never die! 'effin "Pro Tourers" and "G-Machines" think they've killed big & littles, monstrous power, and wild PAINTED graphics? NEVER!
I like what you've done so far, but I'm gonna disagree with the 427 idea. If you're going to do a cross-breed (i.e. Any non-Pontiac engine in this thing) then go all out and grab the tunnel ram big block Chevy from one of the Revell shoebox Chevy Pro Mod kits or one of the Pro Stock kits. In fact, I think you can probably scam one from Spoon Man Dos, since he used a Revell Pro Stock kit as the basis for his HKS 180SX project. If you don't make a cross-breed (AND YOU SHOULDN'T) then grab the 455 from the Revell/Monogram 1970 GTO Judge kit or from the Revell Buick GSX (which is helpful since that kit has a tunnel ram). So, that's my take.

Re: `67 Pontiac Firebird Pro Street
I only got a 427 chevy spare, and i'm always short on cash. Something happened to the froof last night, which always happens on firebirds I make, so I have to buy a new can of black to respray the top, but taht is ok because i wanted to do the bonnet again too, and i need to do all the driveline.
Thanks for the comments. I've tubbed my Challenger so I'll get photos of that eventually too. |
