If you got all of the original paperwork, there should be a laminated card with the Keyless Entry code printed on it. If not, try looking on the bottom of the trunk lid around the latching mechanism. On my '93 GM there is a small sticker that has the code on it. As a last resort you could go to a Lincoln Mercury or Ford dealer and give them the VIN number and they can get it for you that way.

I don't have the air suspension on my Grand Marquis so all I can tell you is that it sounds like you have a small leak either in the air bladder or one of the air hoses.

Hope this helps.

On most of the Grand Marquis I have seen the factory code is on the underside of the hood. Open the hood and look up and you should find the 4 digit number. This is the fixed code that can never be changed. The computer allows you to set a second code that can be changed whenever you want.

You have a 92 Marquis? The only hope you have is if someone totals your car. Sorry if I'm a bit bitter...I made a post describing my car in this forum.

Like others said, the label is on the truck underside. Or, on control module.

5 digit code. Here are the button layouts.

1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8 9/0 (Having same numbers on one button does look silly)

Enter code.

Press 1/2 to unlock drivers door.
Press 3/4 to unlock passengers door.
Press 5/6 to unlock the trunk.
Press 7/8 9/0 together to lock all doors.

To set alternate code. Enter code, then press 1/2.
Within 10 seconds, enter new code. Press 7/8 9/10 together, when complete.

Try new code. Buttons for drivers, passenger, truck, and lock are the same.

I used to use alternate code, but don’t anymore. I’m always disconnecting the battery, when I work on electrical stuff.

Air suspension always levels, OFF or ON. You have a leak. The most severe problem arises, when car is jacked without turning the override switch in the truck OFF. Mainly up on a lift. Here the suspension lets out a lot of air, thinking it is too high. When car is lowered, the pump cannot lift the car. It looks like a low rider.
There is a trick to recover from this without harm, but it entails starting the car, jacking back up quickly, then lowering slowly allowing the pump to recover. Due at own risk.

Most cars suck, when everything starts to fail. If it weren't for my first '83 Thunderbird w/ EECII computer, I would have not learned about cars. But, as I grow older, yea they suck.
