92 lincoln power seats

My 92 lincoln tc drivers side seat does not go backwards or forwards. All other power adjustments work just not back and forth. Which motor does this use and can I fix it. I believe its getting power because I hear a slight noise down buy the motors when I move the switch back and forth. Thanks for any help. I'm taking this car 4000 miles next week and I don't feel like kissing the dash all the way!!

Sorry Robin, it's been quite awhile since I've signed in here. If you mean you hear a clicking noise, that's the power solenoid trying to send power to the motor. These motors are pretty reliable and don't usually die so young. I'm thinking there may be a wire connector that came off the motor.

I have a '96 and I'm not too sure the motors would be the same configuration. I could post the '96 seat wireing if you think it might help. Another option, there's allot of early 90's TC owners active on LincolnsOnline
maybe you can get a quick reply over there ?
