help wit a 2002 dodge 3500 cummins slt laramine

my moms bf has one of these and hes looking for ways to get more power and not beat on the motor cuz its an auto he doesnt want to have to upgrade the tranny at all so whats the ways he can give it more power safely?i told him turn up the turbo boost and get an intake and like a 5 inch exhaust is this bad or good?

i would start with a larger exhaust and a K&N style air filter, they made a very noticeable differance in my Dad's 99 2500.

With the motor upgrades I would install a Transgo HD2 shift kit. You need more torque converter clutch(TCC) apply pressure. Also, a 200 RPM lower stall torque converter would be awesome(Could do that later). The rest of the tranny will handle it, once the oil pressure inside the tranny has been modified from the shift kit.

Theres nothing better than when that TCC applies and you grunt up to 90MPH(quickly, even with full load) and go, "damn, I better back off, I'm too old for this" LOL.

First you need a new chip, secondly you need performance injectors, and I wouldn't turn up the power without having an aluminum oil pan.

I spoke to somebody at a truck show and I bought one for my 1990 Pick-up.

See if he wants one.
