My 1995 993 Carerra 4 has a thin clear plastic rock guard on each rear fender flare. Over the years one has turned yellow. The both have nicks in them and on an otherwise flawless car, they look like they should be replaced. Has anyone had any experience removing these things. I'm thinking if I take them off the paint they were designed to protect will come off with them. Maybe they have to be heated to remove them??? Porsche does sell replacements for about $200 which is a lot of money for a pair of thin plastic sheets about 1 square foot in area. Does anyone sell an aftermarket version? .Anyone with information on this please email me.
