Personally, I like the Ferrari. Ferrari's are not about the numbers.

BTW, it's "Stradale."

The toyota MR-2 spyder also weighs less than a McLaren F1. The McLaren is still a better car, though.

Re: Ferrari Stratedale VS Noble M12 !!

the thing is, in terms of quality of product, ignoring all of the figures, the noble has a long way to go until it reaches the standards of ferrari and the rest (the prices of which, ferrari especially are a little suspect in the first place)

if noble were to produce their own parts instead of raiding available parts bins, the cost of their cars would rise accordingly.

i would say the ferrari stradale comparison, is a bit unfair as you are comparing a car that has gone through a further stage of production from the standard road car that is rather high tech to begin with.
i think a more suitable comparison would be that of the noble vs a tvr (take your pick).
my reasoning is that tvrs are also british made, small volume, has bespoke parts made in house AND YET is still in the same price bracket as the noble.

Re: Re: Ferrari Stratedale VS Noble M12 !!

I c but if you ask me ferrari does need a wake up call and this is jus the car to do it. But noble should stop lookin through other people trash lol. That does have a big part in price cut. I would still take a noble over a tvr anyday unless its a cerebra speed 12 hehe I wish.

Re: Ferrari Stratedale VS Noble M12 !!

i wouldn't pick the speed12 (either of them).
if i was to go fora tvr i think it would have to be the old 4.5 v8 cerbera just cos it's so bloody brutal in execution.
also, it has four seats just to add to the madness!

Re: Ferrari Stratedale VS Noble M12 !!

Ferrari can pretty much charge whatever they want for their cars - people will still buy them since to most buyers they are much more than supercars, they are priceless works of art.

The Noble is incredible. I've read a few roadtests and they all praise the cars handling. I honestly don't mind the Ford Mondeo parts as long as it works and apparently it works very well.

Personally I love the Stradale, not because it's a Ferrari but because it's an awesome car. If it was made by Yugo I would still buy it, I wouldn't care about the badge. I would also drive it within an inch of it's life at the track without feeling guilty about it.

Re: Ferrari Stratedale VS Noble M12 !!

well, the thing with cars such as ferrari, lamborghini, tvr, porsche, bmw, lotus etc etc is that they are 'complete' cars.
everything about them feels right; from the outside design to the materials used inside.
even when that interior is over-designed as it is in a cerbera with it's bespoke hand machined controls, it still feels right.
i really hate to say this but i can see how the interior, and some of the exterior details of the m12 (especially the gto3) need a lot of work.

sometimes, a fantastic drive isn't enough.
but then, the fact that noble aren't charging anything like ferrari prices for their cars shows that they are fully aware of their place.
i like to think of them as being very similar to where lotus were fifteen /twenty years ago.
just imagine where they would be in ten years.

that's what ferrari should be thinking about.

However give noble time I think they might have a shot at being a dominant factor in gt class racing (ect le mans or lower level racing) + I think there quality and reputability will go up over the years as time progresses. I think were seeing a supercar company in its early stages of forming. I have a feeling we ve only seen the tip of the iceberg.
