Question Jeep Drivetrain

I am planning on using a Dodge 5.9L magnum engine, a torqueflite 727 transmission, and a dana 300 transfer case. I hear that if you get the tailhousing and output shaft from an AMC 727 you can put into the Dodge 727 and the Dana 300 will bolt on. Is this true? Also what year Dodge 727 would be a good candidate for this swap. Any help would be much appreciated. THANKS
