Will gas ever go cheap again?

Now, i'm just curious. Tired of paying mad gas prices. Does anyone know if fuel prices will ever go cheap again? back to the 1.39 per gallon days.

I wish, but from everything that I have read expect it to keep going up. Unless of course, we vote the majority of the politicians out that are against drilling in Alaska and keep tightening restrictions on the oil business. Ease up on some things and they might decide to build a new refinery or two which would probably involve newer technology that would be more effecient and polute less. The current President tried to open up drilling in Alaska but congress voted drilling down, humm, I wonder who voted against it.
