Instrument Cluster Panel
I have a 1992 SL2 4 door and my odometer went out on the instrument cluster panel. Has anyone here ever replaced one and if so what was the cost and was it very hard. I recently bought a manual for my car, and it shows the procedure for removing the dash...... It appears to be fairly labor intensive, but does not appear to be that difficult. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

dont know about a 92 but a 96 SL2 is a pain in the &#^@*&$@*!!!
i basicly just kinda did it my own way....didnt brake anything but i didnt do it like the chiltons book says either..... seemed like to much work so i just took the top dash pad off and the gague surround and losened the bolts and wiggled and gently pryed with the wheel all the way down and it came out after some instigating and blessings |

taking the gauge out is a snap(no pun intended), take the top two srcews out. then rip out the top piece. use a fllathead to pop up the end that is away from the windshield, then pull it toward the rear of the car(it a pain to get back in). a few bolts, light dimmer and rear d/f wires to get the piece around the gauge off. a few more bolts, the wiring harness and its out. i can do it in 10, 15 minutes tops
