suicide trunk modification needed

i have seen several sl2's of different year models that have a kick ass trunk modification done where the trunk lid doesn't just lift like normal it stays horizontal when raised. i need to know if anyone knows how to do that the simplest way. i would love to have the suicide trunk. thanks

i haven't done it myself but i'm told its not to hard. some cars you have to put another hinge in but not our saturns. there should be two bolts connecting the lid to the hinge. i beleave you just take out the bolt faceing the front on both sides and then cut away whatever metal you need to. and if you need a regular trunk, just put the bolt back in.

what u may can do is buy some heavy duty gate hinges and drill new holes it looks pretty crunk my friend did it to a 93 4 door teg but he didnt use tha heavy duty so its real wobbely
