325xi performance
I have a 2001 325 xi with an automatic transmission. Is there any way to upgrade the performance of my car? It is very fast, but I would like for it to have better acceleration than it has now.
This car is leased. Is there any way o modify parts of the car without perminantly altering the car, voiding the lease agreement? |

There's nothing you can do with a leased car. Simply because it isn't yours. Your basically just driving a rental.

you can do whatever you want with a leased car you just have to take it off if the dealer complains when you turn it in and the small stuff they usualy don't care about

you could get some performance springs and shocks, and then just pull em back out when the lease is up. There are all kinds of computer chips out there that will raise your hp, torque, take off top speed limiter, and raise your rev limiter, that cost about $250. springs and shocks will run you anywhere from 700 dollars and up, depending the type you buy. Exhausts can be cheap(50-100) that will make it sound better, but if you want one that will kick some performance into your car, you might have to put more money into it. K&N cone air filters can be purchased for about 30 dollars, but you need a conversion kit that costs around 40 dollars. The cone intakes don't really do that much, only giving you about 5-10 horsepower, although sounding alot better.
Just be sure to keep all the stock stuff that you switch and put it back on when the lease is up!! But i wouldnt recomend switching big stuff like springs, shocks, etc. if you dont have the car for much longer.

Is there an argument you would like to debate in a civilized fashion, or are you just mad because your Audi got smoked by an M3 on the highway today? No no, wait, let me guess... you're a 16-year-old kid who just got his license and a hand me down Audi from your daddy, and now you want to prove to yourself that you're a tough guy by coming in here and letting us know it. Yup, that must be it. Take it to the AF Audi forums. Last I checked, they needed a few more regular posters. |

First of all im a 34 yr. old male and i have few Audi's and still own them. i had my 1st. drivers lic. in germany. well the new M3 is fast, but the earlier M cars are no big deal, i have driven them and they did not handle no better then my Audi and did not feel quicker maybe it was the rear tires spinning? There are more bmw owners trading in their bimmers and M cars for Audi's due to reliabity issues and the Audi Quattro system. And let me a new M3/5 in the rain/snow in the Wa.st area. I smoke them if they have the nerve to drive those cars in bad weather conditons. BIMMERSLAYER IN WA.

By the way, Audi has had their share of reliability concerns too. |
