HeLP: ECU READOUT

I have a small problem with my hatch. Everytime the engine warms up to the point where I can step on the gas and go ( usually about 10 min. after I start it) it will start making a rattling noise when I press in the gas. I think it may be something to do with the factory exhaust. When I let off the pedal it stops but will start again when I put it back on. Also it makes the same noise when I'm stop at a light beside another car. I checked my ECU and it is giving a reading of 7 and 16 blinks. Can you guys tell me what this means? It is really pissing me off!

Don't know about the error code, but I've had a similar rattle before that drove me nuts. Turned out that one of the rubber hangers for the exhaust had come off, so the exhaust was twisting a bit and rattling agains the rear suspension, so all I had to do was re-attach the hanger...

Also, unless you're getting a CEL (Check Engine Light), you should'nt be throwing any codes, so try resetting your ECU and see if the 7 and 16 codes go away.

I get a C.E.L. almost every day sometime after I hear the rattling noise. I plan on getting a high flow cat., 2.5" exhaust piping, and Arospeed tunable muffler soon so hopefully the noise will stop. I really would like to know the error codes though. I think one may be because I might need a new o2 sensor but I'm not sure.

The rattling noise is a loose heat shield on your exhaust.

Code 16 - proabably a bad or clogged fuel injector(s)
Code 7 - TPS

Reset the ECU
If codes come back test each fuel injector
