87 brake cable

I just got a 1987 RX-7 hatchback. I've always loved RX-7s, especially the second-gens. One minor thing: the handbrake cable is snapped. I believe it is the front and not the rear ones because when I checked the calipers neither one moved. I could do this myself but messing around with the driveshaft isn't my favorite thing in the world. About how much am I looking at if I take it to a dealer/shop? I've heard everything from RX-7s will cost your you're first-born to do it yourself. Just want the opinions of y'all.

... and one of the things Edwin knows is that it's not how you stand by your car... ... damn ... kinda tough to stand by a moving car.

For now I'm happy putting the thing in gear and always parking on a flat street. There are plenty of those here in Ohio. Besides it is really fun to scare the piss out of the passenger when you're doing 90 and suddenly throw up the brake. That's an ugly mess to clean out of the upholstery.
