Engine Question
Okay my sister's boyfriend has a 1995 hatchback witht he doch vtec engine in it, he is going to swap it with a jdm b18 engine, so my question is would his old engine fit into my 90 lx? thanks

like i told you on aim its a d16z6 and yes it will fit ... just gotta wire mpfi and a way to activate the vtec.

Yea dude, no American civics came with dohc vtec engines stock except for 99-00 Si's. Either his engine is not original or its the 95 Si stock engine which is SOHC vtec. (d16z6) And yes, aftermarket or not, it will fit in your car if it fits in his. If it is aftermarket you may need some mounts but im thinking its the d16z6 which you will need no modifications at all to make it fit. As melt said though you will need to wire up mpfi and install something that will acticate vtec.

alright well thanks for the correction, i think the engine has around 80,000 miles on it right now but ill have to talk to him and see what he wants to do with the engine, also is there anyway to activate the vtec?

you can either run an rpm activated switch ... and i think the other way is rewiring from odb0 to odb1

LOL. Actually - what you got as a Del Sol was marketed as a 3G CRX in quite a lot of countries... including Japan
It was never marketed as a Civic

well regardless of what badging.....the civic/crx/delsol are built on the same platform. making them virtually the same car. thats technical stuff for you right there
