95 VR4 Spyder VS 99 VR4

Which one would be better?
Wut do you guys think?
It's hard for me to make a decision, I need your help... Thank You.

personally, I prefer the shape of a spyder,
however, it would be a 9 year old model...

1995 VR-4 Spyder..................hands down

It's rarer, more attractive, and it doesn't have that ugly ass snout the 99 has. Plus, chicks dig convertibles....... Especially retractible hardtops

It's not as new, and it's not the only production year of that "gen"......so it'll be much easier to maintain and cheaper parts.

screw the 99, get the spyder.......

Actually, there are more Spyders then 99VR4s by quite a bit actually. However, the 99s look basically like all the other 94+ coups. The Spyder is a rare breed indeed once you consider all the other years.

I bought my 94 VR4 back in 94 but just had to get the Spyder later on. I am selling one of them - and it sure isn't the Spyder.

Allmighty yogs...

Yogs dude.... ur my freakin hero man!!! your wisdom would suggest u freakin designed the 3/s line of cars! i swear man... anytime theres a question u have the answer! and u have 2 freakin VR4s including a spyder!! dude... my hero! and on the 99 VR4 vs spyder, i personaly prefer the looks of the 99 VR4. but the spyder is absolutely more unique and more of a head turner! it has a more exotic look to it! and even tho there are more of them around then the 99's the spyder's still seem to be worth more, as they are going for alot more than i've seen the 99's! so if u slightly prefer the spyder dude... get it! in the long run u'll be happy! and plus... that'll mean theres 1 more 99 VR4 for me to choose from when i get my cash flow back to where it was!! lol but not for that reason, id say go spyder dude

Oops – I’m not paying enough attention around here. While I think I know a fair bit about these cars, I am certainly not the master. My engineering skills and hands on knowledge are of the “knows enough to be dangerous” variety. Facts and figures I know and can reproduce. Rebuilding the engine – now that’s another story

No disrespect to Yogs here but it's really not that hard to know about cars especially when you own a few of the kind you're talking about. I'm only 17 and I know more than I did a year ago, about cars simply from owning one and wanting to know enough to be able to carry on conversations and such. I know I hardly know anything in the big scheme but it isn't that heard to learn.

Go with the Spyder. I'm not sure about the ugly snout line. '99 front end conversions are the most common of all body mods. I guess it's your right to not like them though . allen_96er, the years don't really matter if they were both well maintained. These cars can last if taken care of (just like any other car). I know people driving around in 3Ss with 200000+ miles. Or if you've got the money, buy the VR-4 and do a targa top conversion or T-top. BOth are being developed but you could be the first. Now that would make it uniqe .

Knowing enough to carry on a conversation and doing an engine rebuild are two different things. I can list of the steps to do the job, but I have not actually done it. Until I do (I've not had to do it) I don't know the pitfalls that come with any job like that.
