Supercharging a 1994 Regal 3.8L

I have a 1994 Buick Regal with a 3.8L (non-supercharged). I was wondering if a supercharger from another buick, pontiac, etc. would work on my car? If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Your best bet would be to install an L67/4T65HDe and PCM from a wrecked 1997-current Regal or GTP. More information on this swap can be found at www.L67swap.com

Lightbulb FWD S/C

You have what's known as a 3800 Series I engine, this version was in use from 1991 thru 1995. GM offered two different S/C's '92-93 and '94-95 that should be a direct bolt-on. It's necessary to change the Harmonic balancer pulley (2 belts), all the accessory brackets (relocated power steering pump and Alternator) and the complete intake manifold. And wiring harness mods.
To manage the Boost you'll need a compatible ECM/ PCM, probably the Bonneville and to provide the expanded Fuel/ Air Charts to run it. Then there's intake air capacity, then there's exhaust capacity...
I'm working on escentially the same upgrade, I have an'88 Reatta which now has the Series I engine installed last Fall with a manual transmission. This next week will be transplantinga '94-95 S/C.
I'm fortunate to have an acquaintance who's capable of doing the PROM reprogramming that's necessary to keep all my electronics happy with modifications.

im not to shure on the new supercharged ones but in the GN the compression raito was dropped from 9to 1 to 8 to1 to handle the compressed air when boost was beig applied. so check to make shure that you won't run into problems or your crank will look like this (follow link) http://home.earthlink.net/~lstsimpson/. it is not pretty at all. also check that your crank and pistons and connecting rods are going to hold together under boost. putting a motor under boost is not just a bolt on thing (that is if you don't wanna be picking up pieces a few months down the road) so make shre you have all the facts. Im not saying all of this is true im more of a GN turbo guy i don't really know much about the new supercharged motors but boost is boost just don't wanna see you blow something up
