Unhappy 1998 Chevy Malibu LS Exhaust Questions

I want to upgrade my exhaust for less than $275. I want the deep throaty sound with the power to back it up. I would like it to be dual exhaust, but I find it very difficult to find such systems for a 1998 Chevy Malibu LS 3.1 189 CID. Any help or ideas?

Well for less than $275 you will have to do ebay. Buy a high flow cat and a high flow muffler (and if money is left headers). For the deep sound go with Flowmaster. Then once you have all the parts go to a local exhaust shop and get the pipes bent to fit. That will give you an extra couple of horsepower.

Exhaust & headers for $275? Good luck. Your best bet is a set of TOG headers (http://www.performance-exhaust-heade...let/index.html) and then either a Borla Catback or an SLP system.
