Head Swaps
In my friends honda he has a 1.5 with a cracked head, can i install the head off my 1.6 that came out of my car onto his motor. I know the compresson is differant and all but can it be made work. I checked the part number on the head set and they are both the same. If this swap will work what will it take to set the timming will it still set the same as it did before any info will be great this is my friends only car and we need to get it running as cheep as we can, and he can not pass up a free head if it will work, since my head was rebuilt about 6 months before the motor blew its rings.
thanks

as long as both motors are the same family (D's, B's, A's, F's, H's, K's) they will bolt together.

Was there any differance when setting the timing belt or did it set the same did you use the marks for the 1.6 or the 1.5 on the head because the cam gear has differant marks on them.

I used the marks on the 1.6 head to set the belt. Then I used a timing light to get everything right. It's not really that hard but always have a manual handy.
