Lost it up top...

So, haven't posted a story in a while, but i thought this one mite qualify to actually read. so here goes...

i was jus cruisin on 405 over to the casino (18 an older one), an i've gotta couple of friens in the car when a late 90's Ford Contour SVT pulls up beside me. its obvious he wants a race (the guy is rev'n the shit outta his motor an jumping ahead etc...), so i figure why not an wait for him to drop it an then go into 3rd.

it was from about 75, so i pull about 1/4 of a car through 3rd up til about 86, shift, an then pull a couple inches more up to 110, then his top end takes over.

my car is dead after 110, so he pulls even an slowly gets about 1/4 of a car ahead of me. we both see its not gonna change, so we slow down to 70. i roll down the window, throw him the thumbs up an then jus cruise off.

btw...it was jus him in his car, the road was clear ahead of us an the ppl with me were a couple of guys who both street race as well.

so there's a loss for the ol' teg

Nope, not even close.

Similar power-to-weight ratios, same badge, but the underpinnings are all different.

Th original SHO had a 200HP Suzuki 6 in it, later changing to a 220HP V8, while the Contour, based off of the European Mondeo, has a 200HP Duratec V6, that Cosworth had a hand in developing.

Yeah Mustangs are slow, especially those 94 Cobras with the 5.0L's.

Yup. thats why I have my flashers on when driving, dont want to get run over by mopeds and those fast scooters, and sometimes ten year olds on bikes give me some trouble.

But, owell once I get my Vtech portable phone installed I will be kicking rear.

Wow Vtech AND portable, thats some convenient stuff you must be rich!!!!

I need a Lightning badge for the S-10, it's so slow and that gives me like 400 hp supercharged right???

Propper placement of the badge is crucial to obtaing max HP. Make sure you get exact measurements allowing for scale difference between an s-10 and a f-150
