WE have a 97 accord....... not happy

My parents haev a 97 honda accord 5 speed i think its the lsx???? but anyway i have driven it and my dad drives it all the time..... the engine really has no torque and acceleration is slow. I have a 96 ford contour and it has much more pep to it. Any light modificatiosn that would help out the accords weakspots......... Since they want to get rid of it and would probably sell it to me really cheap or just give it to me...... since they know im looking at a car with a honda engine.

It's an LX version, which is about 15 HP lower than EX Accords I think. I've modified my 96 EX a bit, with new Intake, Header, Exhaust, and Ignition. There's a bit of a difference, but not much. Mostly in MPG I'd say. If you want a big difference from your Accord, go with a turbo.
