Exclamation Rice-Rocketeer...

How the Melbourne scene going??? Im gonna be down Dec 21-Jan 5th and im gonna need something to do and perhaps someone to go car shopping with me. Have you seen that blue 5th gen hatch rolling around Melbourne for sale? Thinking about buying it... not sure if its still for sale though, im gonna get ahold of the guy tomorrow (or try to) ~ ive been wanting a blue hatch forever and guess what I got dad to FINALLY say?

YES

YYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSS.... I basically had to sell my soul to him to cosign for me, but he said we will look while we are down there ~ and if not we will be going to the Honda dealer (we know the sales manager... we can get $1300 knocked off a USED car ~ 95 civic coupe stickered at $7495 we were gonan get it for $6100...) but that civic hatch is WAY more my style, not to mention its like half as much ~ and I could talk dad into cosigning for the $6100... might as well get a swap while we are at it

hahaha, just wanted to say whats up!

Re: Rice-Rocketeer...

Wasssaaaaaa?

The Melbourne Scene? I kinda dropped out. I tried hanging with the lowrider ppl, didn't work. I tried hangin with the import ppl, didn't work. So I said screw it. BUT I still know this town inside and out.

Frankly I've only seen one Harvard Blue hatch like mine and believe me, you don't want it. Dude screwed up the entire front end. I haven't been car shopping in a while, it's fun Do you want to keep this car here or take it back with you to NY? Cause if you want warranties and such it'll cost you but you need to stay here. If not we can take a risk and buy from one of the millions of lowlife used car salesppl.

BTW, Congrats on joining the car owners with GOOD taste :silly2:, The 5th Gen Hatch Owners.

Ooohh, that's not Harvard Blue. That's an even rarer blue on the 5th gens. Nope that ain't the car but I like it, it looks nice. So exactly what plans have you got for this sucker?

P.S. BTW It looks completely stock but if you look closely it has M3 style mirrors and the black trim on the bottom of the driver's window has been removed to show the chrome underneath Interesting, I'd like to see what other small mods they've done to it.

Yeah, I know it has that... as well as a gay CD player, AEM RAM AIR, clutch, & APC Sport mirrors recent work: New tires, axle, timing belt, water pump, cam seal, & valve cover gasket...

I LOVE that blue, what is the exact name of it? (or paint code too would be nice) im not expecting it to be perfect, cause well its 8 going on 9 years old now but hey I wanted a blue hatch ~ and I finally found one AND talked dad into the damn loan, its a sign from above I tell you

As far as mods, I am keeping that mum... Lets just say it has to do with Hasport mounts and my new swap business All depends on where I stand financially come after Spring Break Nationals ~ after that the snow will be almost gone and then the mods are coming

But yeah about the scene... the only thing I hate there like alot of places is everyone thinks they are the shit. They slap some Type R stickers on their car and chop their springs and put a $5 POOP Boys exhaust system on (that would be the annodized red/blue/etc muffler tip) and they think their shit is the best honda (or other) car around.

I really think that area NEEDS some good shops. I mean just like in the movie, "build it, and they will come" with a good shop that actually CARES to do stuff other then sell rims and Type R stickers and shoulder pads ~ and someone to guide those interested, I think they would follow. All it would take is to get a few people together that can install (motor swaps, rear disc brake conversions, body kits ~ yeah like a kit is hard... lol, someone to do paint and other body work, shaving etc.) and you have easy money.

Just get the shop cars hooked up, swapped, turbo, etc. etc. and hit the streets... after you beat someone, dont be a dick head ~ just be like we do all kinds of custom work... new motors, CAI, headers, exhaust etc. at a fair price and then hand them a card... BEST business you will ever be able to do. Thats basically what I will be doing with my car come spring, although I wont be able to install em yet (I have no garage living here at the spartments) if I can get hell even 1 swap a week sold I might be able to weasel my way into a shop and get rolling big time.

Oh ok, I thought it was like another granny car or something. How many miles does it have? And why does it look like he had some recent minor headwork?

As for that exact blue, I don't know. I hardly ever see it, let alone find out about it. And it doesn't have to be perfect but there are certain areas that should be in atleast functioning order, body panels, frame, accidents, electronics, ect. It'll make things alot easier later on.

And you're crazy :smoka: I just plead that you let me drive it man. I REALLY want to see what a hatch with a 2.2 swap handles like. Ooohh man just thinkin about it

Dude, If you can really go thru with what you predict, This town desperately needs it bro. Ppl will be talking about you from here to daytona. And you know what would be cool, there's an abondoned gas station that could be set up on the corner of 192 and babcock. That would friggin rock.

Ahahaha, we think so alike. I actually have had my eye on that ever since I wanted to get started. Just sitting there "Oh that place would be perfect" ~ but thats what I predicted... you would have from there to Orlando, there to Daytona, and there to Miami ON LOCK...

If I had soem STEADY income right now I would be seriously considering it. Although business is good right now, its no where NEAR where I would like it to be. Right now it just pays the bills and is going to allow for me to by spring time be setup with my swap and havent decided if im gonna just get a nice set of rims and bec-tech it up and keep it more or less a sleeper or go all out show w/ kit custom interior etc. etc.

As far as WHEN I will be ready, I just do not know. I mean, hell I still have many many years ahead of me only being 19 and all. And do I know in 2 years I will still be interested? Yes... and in two years do I know that Melbourne and surrounding area wont have any good shops? Yes... its all just timing. There are things like being able to swap, custom interiors etc. that I would like to learn more on first. Seeing as I havent done a swap yet, I would feel stupid having a customers car be the first one. And there is more to it then just bolting in the motor and sending someone on their merry way. I think I have be staying ahead of the curve for quite some time, and I will continue to by setting goals and reaching them. So it may not be this summer, or next winter, but I will make it down there to open up a shop. Even though there is probably MORE of a demand here, it snows (hahaha well USUALLY...) end of November through middle of March here ~ thats like 5 months out of the year, I cant possibly see making enough money the rest of the months to keep me happy ~ and to pay all the bills during the slow winter months. SOOoooOOoo... and of course you will be about THE only person I allow EVER to drive the car, but im sure you will be a little surprised as to what exactly it is

Oh, and get this shit. The Honda dealer that NEVER gets hatches ~ after I stop in they get another one. Just got it late last night and I got a call this morning. 1994 CX, 72k miles, manual, gay cd player.. $4995 (remember I know the sales manager ~ I probably could actually get it for $4k... but its WHITE!) I would much rather pickup that blue hatch, as it would be LESS then this, and then I dont have to paint it from white to blue

Dude you gotta take it one day at a time. You can't BAM open up a shop that does interiors, swaps and audio. Start with what you know and go from there. You already know audio, start there THEN goto swaps

Oh shit that was like earlier this week. Did you go on the day they scratched it? Or the day it went up? That's badass bro, I've never met a real life Honda expert before, I'm all up for it.

So I say we do it that thursday or friday which is the 27th or 28th. How does that sound. I can show you guys the only 10 or 15 "hooked up" cars we have in Melboring, then we can goto The Inner Room. A fine gentleman's club in cocao :smoker2: What do you think?
