$1000 spending spree

I buddy has an 98 integra LS with a type-r motor swap, and he sold his dirtbike and wants more bang for his buck. Anyone know the best way to spend his 1000? Or should he save the money and buy a turbo or supercharger?

How much power would be increased by getting skunk2 cams and cam gears ?

How different would it be to drive it with those mods ?

depends which stage cams. stage 3 cams are for full race and need extensive valvetrain upgrades. stage 1 u can stay stock and it does like 12hp to the wheels as i recall.. stage 2 is like 17 to the wheels..

cam gears are for tuning mainly.. advance it a few degrees you'll gain a couple hp. running nos/turbo you'd want to retard the timing a bit to avoid detonation and be able to run higher boost safely

don't get a turbo it will be bad for ur type-r motor, should have stayed with the ls and get the turbo, that would have been a letahl combo, but too late. i say get the intake and chip, either way those don't giveu that much horsies caompared to the turbo.
