Question Completed H22 Swap: Shiftlinkage/Syncros Problem...

hello i got the swap done in my 95 4dr civic; and i am having trouble with my shiftlinkage (i'm hoping)...it's not allowing me to downshift into 2nd and sometimes when i do the 1st to 2nd shift it grinds and sometimes it doesnt i'm hoping its not the syncros. i used an 91 accord shiftlinkage and i ran it under the steering rack its kind of tight; there isnt alot of play in the linkage. just want to know your thoughts or if you have heard anything about this?
HCP said to double clutch when down shifting, but there has to be a better way to fix the problem. Also heard something about possibly needing a short shifter to shift properly can any one back this up (and if so what short shifter will work)? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Send a message via AIM to civickiller
if you have to double clutch, then its probably a syncro. unless the shift linkage is touching something

Thank you for your answer, I'll check it out and see if it's hitting anything; as soon as my friend gets it back from being painted. Thanks Again.
