Something a little different

Lately I have not been home much, so I havnt really done much chops. I am currently in the process of tuning and installing some new stuff on my 99 mazda. I bought a ton of exterior care products (wax/armoral. . .) and a couple engine enhancements too. I got clear corners, chrome grille, and a few blue neons. I am gonna buy some new rims soon aswell. BELEIVE ME, my car will not be a ricer when done, but a tasteful tuneup.

OK so on to the good stuff. I've ordered a kick ass stereo system from various suppliers. All the installation will be done by me and a buddy, since that is what i do for a living . I ordered 2 12" alpine type R subwoofers, a few alpine 6.5 monitors, an alpine cd/mp3/wma/xm radio/dvd in dash reciever, 2 apline amplifiers, and a few component speakers.

But I forgot one thing. . .the box! So here is a little something I drew first on paper, then built from scratch in photoshop. I couldn't find a good pic of the amp so this profile amp will do fine.

I'm not at all into alpine products. I'd say i'd only get the screens and decks, but that's about it. But if I were you i'd look into Fusion, it's a lot better, expensive, but worth the money. See about the jonah lomu series, very powerful.

Good job on designing that, looks good, I wish I had money for all that stuff

That box is nice, but with those speakers on the side, there is no point, unless you are going to have the box be in the back of car for show, with boot lid open. Otherwise they will sit there doing absolutely nothing coz you wont get the sound from them, unless you have open space between where you sit and where box will be placed. Alpine have good subs, but mainly they have good LCD Screens, their decks are pretty ordinary, and their range of mids and 6x9's dont get much good opinions about them. For quality bass, i would go for a pair of 12" LJ Audio, even the 12-W0's sound sick, my bro running them and hits 140db with excellent sound quality, and they arent even running on full power. Main reason to go for JL is they dont produce decks yet (as far as i know), so all their expertise is focused on amps and subs. Fusion is excellent, Jona Lomu series amps and subs are absolutely beautiful, but the extra cost to get these is enough to make you drop dead on the spot. Deck wise i would go for Pioneer or Kenwood, they are trust worthy and you get quality. Sony is good, i have a sony deck, but i must admit pioneer is my favourite.
One bit of advice with component speakers, 6 inch splits and the best way to go, dont use 6x9's, they will phase out the bass from the subs as they produce bass themselves, and if using high pass filter with 6x9's you have half a speaker being wasted.
Now on topic, love the design, remove the component speakers in the sides, and it will be even better, but yeh you definately got skills with photoshop.
