Citroën Xsara WRC

Hi all
I've recently finished my recent project (altough I have three more in in-progress), it's the Citroën Xsara WRC from Heller. The kit it's not perfect, very, very far from a kit from Tamiya, but it's the only Citroën Xsara WRC in the market, so I builted.
In the gallery it's one mabe by Steve, but this one that I built does not have any upgrade, it's the real thing that comes in the box. It's very poor in details, but I think that the final result it's acceptable.
The last picture it's just a teaser for one of my in-progress models.
It's Valentino Rossi truck and bike. It's 1/24 but it is really huge, just for compare it's on the side of the citroen.
What is opinion about it?

Awesome....

Great work on the Xsara, I really like it, your effort shows and you've built a great model.

Like the Nastro Azzurro Honda team truck too, very nice seeing them all set together like that

I don't get it why people find this a bad kit ?

I mean it looks good built box-stock like you did !
It does seem to lack a bit of detail in the backlights and some minor adjustements in the wheel department and here and there could make it really great ,but as you built it, it's GOOD !

Only little remark is the panel lines, I think it needs it ...

next time ...

Oh, and the truck!
It's hugely cool!

Keep us updated on it , it looks so right !

It may be a poor kit, but you've done a good job on it

Hi Olivier
You are rigth, altough this is a kit with lack of detail, we can achieve a pretty good result. But since we look to a Tamiya model, we start to be more critic.
I have to more kits from Heller to built, the 905 and 205 peugeot's.
thanks for your opinion.

Honestly the Xsara is my personal favorite car right now( yes I even like it better then the 360 Modena). I cannot believe that Citroen lost the manufacturers points leader. WTF they dominated through the beginning of the WRC season. And Carlos is having a killer "come back" year, as if he needs it HAHAHA. And Cypress... who would of thought?!? I thought Marcus had it in the bag before it started?!? well anyhow, i ordered 3 Heller Xsara's when they they were released and the body is so inaccurate that im now working on a resin body based off the Heller. i will gladly send one to the first 5 people on this post who have completed a Heller kit for free. well, i would like to get payment for the shipping, but other than that, if you prove the Xsara is a true dream car of yours ill send you one of my resin kit bodies for the price of shipping only BUT you have to have completed an Xsara first. this resin body will take about 2 months to finish but i promise it will be accurate and it will fit all the Heller parts as well. i might do a transkit for the suspension and and rims as well if anybody is willing to pay for it (maybe $30) please let me know if your interested.

At first sight it looks like a 1/43 model. No wonder why it's so cheap

You made the best out of it for a box stock model.

well this is the first time i see this kit box stock and.. it's not that horible ! good looking..

I see only 2 thing negative:
Interior look to have no door (red) would need to be painted plack at least

the red look like a toy.. strage color.. you didn't use primer aren't you ?

still a nice model.. will probably get one since it look very acaptable box stock

yes.. again, i will give a free resin body to the first 5 completed Xsaras i see. the bodies will be compatable with the Heller kit but you must supply your own kit for the rest of the detail. this body will be much more accurate then the Heller kit. i will sell the other 4 bodies i cast (i will cast 10 but 1 for me). i just love this car and anybody that went through the hell of building this kit deserves an accurate body. also i might do a transkit of the suspension if people are interested in purchasing it. the only down side to the body is that i cant supply proper decals. and the Heller decal is inaccurate as well. ill look into this though.
