just have a go, dont expect the results to be as clean or as good as ones you see here but you have to start somewhere, just try small things, use ur imagination.
modeling card (same stuff as model is made of) can be used to form the base for putty and to give clean hard lines, but why not just start of with something small like a hood vent? and lower lip extension?
just remember to spend your time blending things in, use 1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper soaked in water to blend the putty into origional bodywork. it takes time and effort but as long as you stick it out you will begin to improve, some of my bodys have taken over 40hrs to form

Can putty be bought at the local pepboys or auto shop

well i never have a clear idea on what i am making, i let it evolve, it seems to make the body more fluid in design.
yes you can use bondo just make sure you use and sand in a well ventilated area, thats why i like humbrol putty, its pretty safe to use inside, and air dries.
just look at a pic of a car, and build up some putty and keep sanding, it took me 14hrs to perfect my evo vent on my merc, but i percervered, keep the faith.

BTW i have been doing this and already have my first commisioned piece of work on the way for a customer!! not too bad

go for it dude, splat it on and sand it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will be very happy when your done, use 150-400 grit for shaping then work your way up to 2000 grit wet and dry to create the final finish, just go for it!!!! cant wait to see it, and dont get disheartened if it dont go right first time, just add more and sand till its right!

Hi Kids!

Today we're going to learn about a fundamental piece of the English language!

First of all, the period . is your friend when you are done writing down a thought. These help people know when to clear their heads and expect another idea.

Next is the comma , This little curvy buddy is there when you want to fit a lot of thoughts into one little sentence. But of course, don't forget to end the sentence with our friend the period.

Stay tuned for next week's lesson! G'bye!

Why are you such a dick Syndicate, the only thing I hear coming form you is bitching about periods and stuff. You put that same thing in one of your post a while ago! can't you just say "hey can you put periods in your post, thanks" instand of being ass about it. just cuz you been here a little longer doesn't mean you have to think your better then any one because you put periods in you post and they dont. can't you be a little nicer about it?

i agree with slipknot. just leave the grammar etc, who gives a flying fuck, if i can read it then i am happy, as is the same with most people, and ur from hamburg, are you from england or are you on "taught" english?????????? yes it does not contain full stops etc but i dont mind, its not hurting me, dont put this guy off, we build models not write poetry or books, and coments should be restricted to the models, please if you cant say anything nice dont say anything.

I thank you kindly dear sir

well in work i am a very well spoken person, and the English tax pounds were spent very well crating my vocabulary and other skills but i choose to be myself here, and just have fun.
