Chance to be in Four Wheeler????

I was just reading the January 02' issue of Four Wheeler and in the Letters section some guy asked why they haven't covered an Xterra club run or an Xterra modification feature. In response the editor said "...we're up for that. Send us a bit of information on such runs and we'll take a look."

I thought I would pass this along to some of you guys who are actually in a club. You might want to give them a shout and get a little fame. I would like to see one of you guys thrashing your Xterra on the cover of Four Wheeler

...but don't you need a ton of chrome, at least 14 shocks (bonus points for multi-colored boots) with a "killer" paint scheme?

Maybe so. But, they do have some down to earth articles in there sometimes. They have an article in this issue on four wheeling in Washington's Naches Basin. That may be of some interest to some of you guys in that area. Of course, I think Schlud and ChuchH have already been there. I can't remember for sure, but somebody was there because I remember reading about Funny Rocks on this board.

I get that magazine....

They are pretty much useless for us X owners, but if we push them, they just might respond.

I'd be willing to expose' when I get my Calmini bumper, but it won't be too exciting...

Wonder if they'd be interested in offsetting the cost of a SAS for a feature article...

I went back and read that "opinion (or is it comments) section". What a joke, they said something like there is a lot of stuff to cover, we don't know if we have time for you or not....we'll see.
That magazine seems to be searching for material sometimes.....let 'em play with the big three. I don't think they will take us seriously until another mag has the vision to do it. 4Wheeler is written by whimps who hide behind the brand names with little vision for 4 wheeling at all.

IMHO (yeah, I know, I'm gettin in the way of the X gettin in a mag......go ahead, get on your knees and beg).

The reason they responded the way they did was because the guy was asking them to cover 2 wheel drive events. They said they'd be up to cover a 4x4 Xterra run. Having said that, I'll admit I'm not a big fan of "Four Wheeler" or any other major offroad mag, but it'd be cool to see a feature on an X run.

Yes, Naches is our backyard pretty much. One of the more popular areas for us to go. We took Nissan's video crew there, but nothing ever came of it. Hell I've got at least 4 trips worth of pictures, they wouldn't even need to travel for source.
