Defenatly yo, Auto sucks!!! i drove my 88DX which was auto for a year, and got my 90 SI in stick cause it only comes in stick and i loved it, and now i drive my beater car which i will not say what which is AUTO, but i am building up my 91DX w/ a GSR motor that will be great!

...how to drive an auto. There is a trick involved, but if you do it properly, keep your engine in it's g-spot, you can actually pull away from a manual...

Where I live, none of the racers know how to snapchange properly, so everytime they push their clutch to change gear, I leave them behind.

But every once in a while, some guy does know how to snapchange, and then we stay nose to nose till the next light.:smoker:

you have to be a pretty crummy driver if u cant break traction whilst snapchanging from 1st to second......I can even do it in my 89 twin carb...

I will kill any auto driver of the same car garuanteed...

i shifted my dx tranny all the time, was much faster that way.

here the trick for you auto drivers.

D3 start, then after it shifts once, downshift to D2, then shift it manually through the gears when its nearing redline D2-D3-D4 and you'll be jetting everywhere. only do this in races tho, its not good to shift an autobox like this.

Exactly. Honda autos are gutless. The only types of cars where Auto will beat stick probably is in V8s since they got so much torque that the loss from the auto tranny doesn't matter and a lot of times auto V8s are faster. And Benzes also have REALLY nice autos, the ones I have driven respond better than a manual it seems (though I have never driven a manual benz, but 99% of benzes are auto so not many people have)!

My grandma's ( yes grandma's ) Nissan Maxima 02' is auto, and is fast as $h!t. Picks up like a Biznitch. I love that car. And if thats only a Auto.. i want a manual.. or at least test drive one

According to the guys in the supra group they r near enough the same in aceleration...

thats incorrect, autos handle big power better than manual cars do, especially forced induction cars, they dont loose boost when the shift, and msot newer autos can shift faster than a person ever could.

the fastest drag cars on earth, are all auto-boxes.
