won't start / low voltage @ fuel pump

Hey everybody. I need a little help here.

Just the other morning my 93 Tallon wouldn't start. Turns over fine and even cought a couple of times but stalled. Seems like it's out of gas, but it's not.

I've listened for the fuel pump at ignition and heard nothing.

Then I used the fuel pump jumper connection and I still didn't hear anything.

So I checked the EFI control relay and it WAS reading wrong so I bought a new one, but it reads the same as the old one and ... it didn't work.

I've checked the voltage at the fuel pump and it reads .02 volts, so I'm pretty sure it's not the fuel pump...

Must be a short in the wires??

Any Ideas?

Thanks.

Is your pump rewired? Or stock wire.

hey Kevin,

Stock, I think. She is 80 miles away from 200k, rebuilt @180k.

I did get the fuel pump to start using the jumper (I screwed up the 1st time).

I've checked the wiring, it's good.

I actually think it's the ecu. I found a capacitor that 'took a shit' using this website.
I'm going to take a shot at replacing those 3 capacitors tomarrow.

Wish me luck!
And Thanks for the input.

Check to make sure the MPI relay is good too.

With your mileage I'm surpised the caps lasted this long! Hopefully thats it. While you're in there check to be sure the stuff that leaked out didnt ruin the board, thats fairly common when they have been bad for a while.
