If I'm not mistaken, the SI has the same engine as the EX in 92, D16Y8? Or is it the D16Z6? Anyway, I do believe the Greddy kit will fit both. Although the Greddy Turbo kit isn't the best at getting HP gains, it is the most simple and reliable. So I would say get the Greddy turbo kit with the intercooler and run 6-7 PSI on your stock internals.
I you don't really want to go turbo, or if you want to be really fast in the future, I suggest a B series swap. You can always turbo later, just a swap will give you some good raw power now. The JDM B16A from a Si-R II will be the best for your car. It runs about 2200-2400, then you need a mount kit and possibly axles. The whole thing shouldn't run much more than 3K, definitely no more than 3500 even if you get good stuff.

OK through AIM we have found that you have a VTi civic, which comes with the B16A2.
You should get either the DRAG or MAXREV kit since you don't like the price of REVHARD.

Yes, thats what I suggested first but he said it was too expensive. Drag is 1000 dollars less, so is the Maxrev kit.

I am suggesting MAXREV with the Hondata s200B. You can get this setup for about 3K, and thats definitely worth it.

The parts are good. Prices from that place are good too.
Do you know what a wastegate does? Or do you just want to know the difference between internal and external?

I say insted of buying a turbo kit you get the JUN 3 head package. My buddie has it on his SIR2 and he is putting 190WHP with head package and bolt-ons. This is an N/A civic hatch. 93 hatch.

Why have 190 WHP when you can have 250?

The wastegate is a valve that allows the exhaust to bypass the turbine blades. The wastegate senses the boost pressure. If the pressure gets too high, it could be an indicator that the turbine is spinning too quickly, so the wastegate bypasses some of the exhaust around the turbine blades, allowing the blades to slow down.
