This link should answer most of your questions...

http://www.rbmotoring.com

Maybe if you are lucky, Tyndago will stop by as well.

Unhappy Been ages since I posted

Well not sure about RB Motoring but back when I was keeping up to date http://www.skylinegtr.com (aka MotoRex) was the only company that was able to bring the Skyline over legally. That of course may have changed but to answer the original question. Yes it is "illegal" to just bring a Skyline over to the US but if you go through the right company and do your research you can bring one over and have if approved for US streets.

Really? How so?

It is illegal to just try and bring one over isnt it?

If you go to a company like MotoRex they can bring a Skyline into the US legally for you (street legal)?

Also I added the part about "do your research" since I've many people who try to go around the laws and end up getting burned.

Been awhile since I've had up to date info so I may be all wrong on this so feel free to correct me

To the best of my knowledge it is not illegal to bring them in, it is however to try and drive it before it is complied. I also believe you could bring one in as a "race car" only but don't quote me on it.
