Hasegawa Toyota Starlett EP71 Turbo-S
This is Hasegawa's model of the Toyota Starlett EP71 three door. There are (many!) variants of this, and this particular kit is #24073 Turbo-S Later Version Super-Limited. Just rolls of the tongue. I bought this variant for no better reason that the local hobby shop had it on an offer too good to refuse. This kit is very enjoyable to built with an amazing level of engineering detail given the size of the subject matter. Arguably Hasegawa has over-complicated in parts and the desire for so many variants means lots of body pieces (bumpers, skirts, rear wing, etc) are molded separately. Which is fine, but does create some decisions regarding order of assembly and painting.
My model is painted in period two-tone, with Tamiya AS-19 Intermediate Blue under Tamiya TS-51 Racing Blue. I adore the interior on this and I think the red carpets and decal seat pattern are perfect for the period. And of course, who can't help but smile at all the 'Turbo' graphics! Box. ![]() Simple, but well-engineered chassis. ![]() Interior. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The only thing better than a Turbo is Turbo-S!!

Thanks! Most of the detail in the interior is complicated - but good quality - decals from Hasegawa.
