DIC Lights go Dim

First, I know that this topic has been discussed in numerous threads on this Forum and others, but I wanted to post again to see if this any current information and/or TSB’s.

On my 2014 Traverse LS 3.6L V6, the Driver information Center (DIC) light intermittently goes dim during Daylight hours, to the point of not being able to read the numbers or letters, while the remaining dash lights stay normal.

I know from previous threads that the Ambient Light Sensor is NOT the problem. But here is my Juryrig fix.

I took the Black Cap off of an aerosol spray can, and when the DIC lights go dim, (Daylight Hours, Engine Running) I simply place the Black Cap over the Ambient Light Sensor on the front of the Dashboard for about 15 seconds until the remaining Dash lights go dim, the I remove the Black Cap, and after another 15 seconds, all the lights come back on to full brightness. This “Fix” will last a day or two before it needs to be repeated.

Any updates or other info would be greatly appreciated.
