Headlight Brights & Dim fighting with the turn signals

I think my multi-function switch is bad. Every time I start the truck the headlights are already on brights. I switch to dim and use the turn signal, the brights come on again. Then I have a hell of a time switching to dim again.

98Z,
did you swap the turn signal cam/switch??
or was it just relay??
Shee-Mar and others makes multi-switches for $34-70;
depending on model and accessories..

I did end up solving the problem by replacing the entire multi-function switch assembly. Everything works as it should now.

glad to hear it was a non-traumatic issue; like wiring harness, and it is all good now.

We call them "multi-failure" switches for a reason.

The aftermarket headlights that are in it were so far out of adjustment, the brights were looking at the ground in front of the bumper and the dims were squirrel hunting in the left tree line. Took forever to adjust them correctly. 😆
