Need Help ASAP

Hello everyone, I know nothing about cars and am trying to figure out the easiest way to fix my shi**y van. My Key started getting stuck in the ignition so I had my uncle take a look at it then he ended up breaking my immobilizer. I have been told the easiest way to fix said van would be to go to the junk yard and buy a whole new steering wheel column, then I saw a few videos saying I could just buy a new immobilizer, install it, and some how link my key to my new immobilizer and it should work again.

Any feedback is welcome so long as it is helpful, thanks in advance car people.
