2015 sorento 3rd gear transmission lag

Just bought a 2015 used Kia Sorento 2.4 ..55000 km (the car started its life in summer 2014)
WHen starting rolling first time in the day....and temperature here is around 5°C/40°F now, the car goes normally through 1st and 2nd gear then when going to 3rd, the gear does not engage right away but engine revs up for 1 second then 3rd engages. Other gears normal.
This happens on a rapid start, not full throttle, but lets say, half throttle. ( NOt noticeable on a soft start). Then it will not happen for the rest of the day.
The dealer told me they all do that.....mmmm....anyway, not normal.
Any comment on that? Any one of you experimenting the same ?

I think when purchasing used the warranty has expired. It drops from 100,000 to 50,000 when purchasing used.
What is the Canadian warranty anyway it's cut in half when used.
If still in warranty I would try another dealer, I think they are trying to wait until the warranty is expired and find the problem quickly.

I bought it from a KIA dealer. UNless proven otherwise, everything that was said pointed to the warranty being still valid till 5yr/ 100,000 km. ANd since I do not drive a lot of km, the 5 year limit would come first..and I have bought one extra year on top.
And contrary to my first saying, the problem shows at any throttle . However, I was told to engage Reverse first, then Drive, and the problem does not happen....and until now, if I back up first, it has been OK...TO me it looks like a sticky clutch or band piston that needs to be awaken once a day...

I have a 2014 Kia Soul with the same issue. It only happens when it's cold. Only once on the 2-3 shift. I'll try putting it in reverse first.
