rebuild as good as new?

Are rebuilt engines as good as new as far as wear and tear and what not, sorry I am a car newb my bestfriends are the one who can do everything with cars. any info would be great thanks again

Depends what condition the engine is in, if the seals are brand new, fine, but other things can be worn. Ie, my friend took his housings apart and they are supposed to be a chromy colour inside, all his chrome had been ground off thru wear, u need new housings if that happens. So yeah, if u get ur engine rebuilt have it taken apart, shown to u and then listen to what the mechanic says. If its done right it should be better than brand new from the Mazda factory.

a rebuilt engine can sometimes be better than a new engine and a hell of a lot cheaper
you can add the valves and all that shit for cheap
