Torque converter Suggestion

Hello, I would like to change out the torque converter in my 69 400 turbo- hydramatic transmission, automatic three speed. I put in a shift kit in a few years ago. I would like it to be drive-able on the street but capable strip too but mostly street driving. Any recommendation on what torque converter i should be looking at the buy? Thank you

Re: Torque converter Suggestion

Car weight, gearing, engine power curves are some of the info needed to properly select a convertor, with all that info the convertor supplier can advise you.

Re: Torque converter Suggestion

MAX Wedge: Car weight is approximately 3499 Lbs. original factory 3 speed gearing (automatic) and the engine power curve factory was 462.3 Nm / 340.9 lb-ft / 242.1 kW / 329.2 PS / 324.4 hp, but I really don't know since I had it bored to 30 over, but it will increase because I'm replacing stock cam with a voodoo roller cam and scorpion roller lifters, new springs and head ported and polished.
