2001 burb low engine power light

I was driving my 2001 8.1 liter suburban today when a pop happened at about 40 miles per hour and I lost power to the gas pedal. The screen on the dash said low engine power. It still idled but the gas pedal didn't do anything. since I wasn't far from home I was able to put it in 4 wheel low range and idle it home. After it sat in my garage for about 5 minutes I started it back up and everything appears fine! Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the remedy? Thanks!

should have a code stored in the pcm, sounds like a throttle actuator control problem, possible tps code in tac system.
