2009 airbag light flashing=--

2009 , 4 cylinder, 4 doors, 119,000 miles.

family members car. was in a small passenger side front fender collision.
not too bad.

anyway the airbag light is flashing constantly.
I tried the old "turn the ignition to the on position" and count to 5 seconds etc.routine and it didn,t work.
any suggestions will be appreciated.

Did the air bags deploy? Codes need to be read for an accurate diagnosis. Possible damage to a impact sensor...
