2003 Windstar heater core fail
Today I was chasing down a leak that was dripping down the outer firewall. It soaked the insulation that was covering the firewall, and I couldn't see any sign of an exterior leak. I took the wipers off and removed that stuff, and still didn't see any signs of an exterior leak.
I wound up finding that there was a separate drain for the heater core that was letting the coolant out instead of all over the floor board. So, if you have coolant running down the firewall, check your heater core. Save you a good hour or two trying to locate something!!! |
