Re: Should I switch off my car air conditioner before I start or stop my car's engine?
Your friend is living in the 60's - Car maker's have taken care of that concern- when you turn your key to "start" the a/c, blower motor, radio, all drop out- and return when key comes back to "run" So no power is consumed by accessories- all power goes to starter when starting your vehicle.
You will wear out your blower/a/c switches if you continue to do it.....
