rallycross BMW 320i turbo 4X4 Piet dam,base whitebox

Now I am going to build the BMW 320i turbo 4X4 of Duthman Piet Dam(+) on scale 1/24.

Peter "Piet" Dam (Puttershoek, October 23, 1946 - Strijen, February 20, 2008) was a Dutch racing driver and rallycrosspilot.

Dam was multiple Dutch rallycross champion. In the eighties he won no less than five times the title of 'International English Rallycross. In 1981 he was second at the European Championships behind the Norwegian Martin Schanche. In the seventies and eighties he drove primarily in a BMW 320 (from 1984 to 1986 four-wheel drive), where he was a master at drifting. On the circuit of Zandvoort he obtained in 1989 the class title with a BMW 325 in the Group A division for cars with an engine capacity up to 2500 cc.

Piet Dam was a teammate of Tinus Korevaar, which among other things was known on television with AVRO's rallycross on the Euro circuit of Valkenswaard, where driver Jan de Rooy was often to be found.

Piet Dam died at the age of 61.
