If you have some enthusiasts you know in your area, they'd probably be willing to help you do it which could save the labor costs.

i paid 250$ for coil overs and installation. the company i got to drop the car did it 2.5". yesterday, we dropped my car the entire 4". it was incredibly easy. im not sure how easy it would be to remove stock suspension, but changing coils was soo easy. i paid 125 for coils and 125 installation. im pretty sure you can find someone to do it real cheap. but if you go below 2.5" you need a camber kit. they run bout 3-400$

200$ 0-2.5"
700$ to slam it and do it right.

these could change based on spring/coil over choice...

if i were in that ride.
so my question is if i were to lower my car 2" what would be a good spring so my car won't bounce all over the place?

I bought a set of coilovers for just over a hundred dollars with shipping. they arrived in about a week. They look just like name brand coilovers but they were cheaper becaue they are not name brand. I am going to install them today but my guess is they will work just like the name brand coilovers you buy for 300 dollars

i'm not so much for coilovers just because all 4 sides need to be level & from what everyone says it's a pain to raise and lower all the time.
but you cain't beat the $100
great deal
let's us know how they work out

If you are looking for a quality and cost effective way to lower your car look at the Eibach pro-kit. It is only a slight drop (1" I think) but the ride characteristics are more aggressive than stock without being stiff as shit.

The added benefit is that you don't really need to change your shocks with this set-up. The springs were designed to be used with OEM shock fitments, so you'll save money that way. I didn't go this route because I wanted a more aggressive suspension but that's me.

Look into what you want (looks, comfort, adjustability, or optimal handling etc.) The more specific your desires the easier it is to pinpoint a method.

bouncing all over the place "f#ck that"
it does look funny though when it's not you

i know what you're talking about. those LOW riding imports that bounce furiously. that really depends on how low you go. when i dropped my car the full 4" on coil overs, it rode horribly compared to 2.5" if you go 2" i think youll be fine. alot of people told me not to get coils cuz the ride would suck. i've been riding around on coils 2.5" dropped for months and it doesn't bother me. rail-road tracks kinda suck tho

You do understand that getting cheap springs means that they are not properly designed for you car. The spring rates will be to strong (most likely) causing you to blow shocks quickly and makeing your car bounce over a dime. The reason you buy expensive springs is so you get properlly tuned suspension. The same is true for shocks.
