Porsche 997 RSR No. 80 / 81 'Flying Lizard' LM 2011 (Scale Production / 1:24)

Hi Guys

Today I´m able to show you the new transkit from Mike, for the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR.

The kit will released in the january of 2014.

To build a complete modelcar I need the Fujimi GT3R kit.
I will build the great artcars of the "Flying Lizard Team" drove at 2011 at Le Mans.

First a look on the kit

The resine parts

Very important the both rear ends

BBS rims

Different etchparts for all different Porsche 997 cars

Seatbelts straps in 4 colours

Carbondecals and mesh for cover the airvents

Here the magnificent body without any faults
All vents are open.

So now I´m going to start working

All the bests
Sascha

Re: Porsche 997 RSR No. 80 / 81 'Flying Lizard' LM 2011 (Scale Production / 1:24)

Hi Guys

@ Thank you all for your support!

@ Shayne Just ask Mike from Scale Production.

Starting...

I´m thinking most of you knows that both cars have different rear ends.

The "AM" Team (blue) with a split vents

The "PRO" Team

First I´m gluing a bar into the body for stabilising
Then I´m cutting of the part for the "AM" car.

Just along the crimps

2 parts

My tip, check the fitting the rearlight glases before you priming the body

For the "PRO" car you using the Fujimi part

The different rear ends

Now all vent are opened

Both car had used only the upper flaps, so I´m closing the other slots

Then I´m making a master plate for placing the "side lights"
Fist small holes 0,5mm

Then 2,5mm
Later there will take place the etchparts

To be continued...

Best regards
Sascha

Hi Sascha,

that looks like a very nice TK and a very promising start to an awesome project.
Considering your other work, we expect to be blown away with spotless execution and a mind-boggling amount of details

Re: Porsche 997 RSR No. 80 / 81 'Flying Lizard' LM 2011 (Scale Production / 1:24)

Hi Guys

Today I´m making the holes of the front lights
First I´m building a master plate

With a small tape I´m fixing the plate on the body, drill a little hole (3,5mm) and remove the rest

And the 2. hole

And finshed

Before priming I´m looking for the fitting between the chassis and the body
This 4 edges have to removed

Then they fits

On the rear side I can using the 2 plug sockets

On the sides I´m gluing 2 sheet strips on the body to fix the 2 parts later.

To be continued...

Best regards
Sascha

Hi Sascha,

Nice progress on both Flying Lizard Porsches. What decal set are you using for this build? I would love to make the #81 version.

Best regards
Lesley
