compressor problem

I have a 09 civic with a air conditioner problem. I had trouble with batery going dead, Iput a trouble light ovver the battery terminals and found out that pulling the fuse for compressor clutch I no longer had a draw on the battery. could the problem be the compressor relay or do you think it is the compressor. could I switch relays in the fuse box to find out? thanks

Its not the compressor. Very well could be the relay. Possibly sticking. The command for the relay on comes from the PCM. As long as the relays are the same pin configuration and part number you can. Need to check what else might be in that fuse circuit.
