Well, I'm back with a problem I think I know how to fix.
Apparently sometime this winter the fuel filler pipe developed a small hole in the steel pipe leading to the tank. It finally set a CEL code for the Evaporator Circuit; - I don't know the code, but the garage that scanned it suggested it might be in the charcoal cannister or a line leading to, or from the tank. Then I told him about overfilling the tank about two weeks ago and the fuel running down the pipe until it cleared the place where the hole likely was. Now for the bad news; - the pipe is available for the '99 Montana, but it's $255 plus tax for a Dorman part. Time to get the grinder out, pull the pipe, grind out all the rust and add some new metal with the MIG. I'll probably cover the repair with epoxy, or JB Weld once completed to avoid further rusting for a while. I'll post pictures when I begin. Fortunately the weather is turning warmer, so I can do this in the driveway.

Re: Fuel Evaporator Circuit - CEL on
$255 for a fill pipe? What a rip off...

Yep, they don't want you to fix it, they want you to buy a new car I guess.
