#075 seen in Geneva

It's not often this car gets seen out in the wild, so I thought I'd post these I've just found

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

cool find!

If Roger remembers the plate it had in 2004 when it was seen at Schaefer, we could say for sure if it is #075 or not.
But I'm pretty sure it is...

Nice find, Greg - that is indeed #075

Does your source have any more pics?

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

Was just about to ask where the heck your new signature came from as I didn't start the morning with this thread. Of course, now I don't have to.

Very surprising to see that car in such a random location.

Thanks!

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

Yes - Aziz Ojjeh was who #075 was originally built for, however there is a possibility the car was sold about two years ago so no telling where it may be now.

Refer to this thread, primarily starting at post #8:

orange metallic FS in Germany!!!

The imageshack photo link in jkbon's post is no longer available, but here is the image that was eventually used to advertise the car.

I just realized this image is flipped horizontally.

Another thing too - the small portion of the car seen on the left side of this photo appears to be another McLaren F1 to me - wearing its car cover, with the cut-out where the wheel nut would be.

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

As #075 also had Switzerland plates when it was seen 4 years ago at Schaefer, one can assume that it was in Switzerland ever since - right?

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

The car may have been in Switzerland since it was built, up to 2006 when it was offered for sale.

I can tell you that other than Roger's photos, these are the first images I have ever seen of the car that were not supplied by McLaren themselves. I'd be interested to hear exactly when they were taken. It must have been fairly recent as I see the current style MBZ S-Class in the background.

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

The person who took the photos was on a family holiday driving back to Lausanne through Geneva, and the pictures were hosted on another forum site on the 28th July with the info 'Burnt Orange Mclaren F1 I saw in Geneva recently....'. I should be getting more images within the next day or so to share here

Re: #075 (?) seen in Geneva

Some interesting news came my way today related to these photos. No reason to doubt the source on this.

Chassis #075 has now transferred ownership to Mansour Ojjeh.

However, possibly the best part of the note - McLaren Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton has been getting some seat time in it, according to my contact.

Now that's what I call a "company car".

P.S.: Hopefully he doesn't let his dad borrow it.

I was the one who took the pics. Post away Greg!

Edit: Wow so that was Ojjeh's car and Hamilton's been driving it?! I should have taken more pictures

Yeah, love that angle too. The paintwork was in amazing condition. Looked magnificent in the sun.

I saw the car on 22nd of July.

Bloody great shots !!!

Kieran, thanks for sharing!
Greg, thanks for posting!

The headlight covers seem to be replaced - back in 2004 they were a little "blind"
