ford buying toyota dealership

I live in fort dodge ia and we are soon getting a huge ford dealership. I have heard that somehow the ford dealership has bought the right to sell toyota cars. Is it possible for a competing car company to buy into another companies franchise?

the owner of the ford dealership may have boutgh a franchise for selling
toyota cars but it has to be a separate dealership
like here in montreal canada we have

Gabriel Honda
Gabriel nissan
gabriel mazda

hyundai etc etc...

but they are all in a diferent location....

the open house for the new ford dealership says: Open House at FOrt Dodge Ford Lincoln Mercury Toyota. I have heard that the Toyotas will be at a different dealership a few blocks away but all their used cars will be at ford.

how rich is this gabriel guy and exactly how many dealerships does he have? Here in Fort Dodge the gm ship and toyota ship are owned by larry clement (he owns the top arca team: Frank Kimmel).

There are many dealership groups that own numerous franchises. Holding four or five franchises is nothing.

actualy the owner of these dealer ships is an arab i dont remember is name ....is family owns a lot of oil....

he just chose the name gabriel cuz its a french name and here in quebec province its 90% french....
