help! stuck out of town, car won't start

I've got a 07 Fusion, 3.0 V6 that I've had for 2 years with noproblems, tonight I'm 2 hours from home for work, shut the car off and now it won't start. It doesn't turn over and when I turn the key the paddlelock icon on the dash links rapidly. I'm not sure if I should have new key made, or try replacing the battery in the key fob, or replace the battery in the car or what I should do. I think the battery in the key fob will be my first try unless someone has had the same issue.

I'd really appreciate any help!

Re: help! stuck out of town, car won't start

I should have commented on this months ago, but Just in case anyone else has this issue, the problem was that the key fob malfunctioned and the car was not recognizing it, I ended up having to have the car towed to the dealer and they ordered a new key/keyless entry and then reprogramming it along with my spare. Luckily they said it's not something that is common.
